These socks kept me warm in the Aspen and Snowmass snow. However, after hearing wearing them for a full day, my leg was tender in the back because they do compress your legs in addition to keeping them warm. These socks may be for skiiers but they would be a plus for any winter outdoor activities. Knee high, snug fit, and warm. Perfect for keeping this ol’ 66 yr old mans legs warm and cozy while doing all winters outside chores. Very high quality socks, perfect winter time companions. Very pleased with these, I highly recommend purchasing.I can't use these for my alpine ski boots as they are too thick. I wear them in Telemark boots for Nordic backcountry and they're actually too warm in anything over 20 degrees. I can see these being quite good in snowboard boots and regular winter boots. They're a great value.Nice and warm. They stay up. Fit well.Really Warm and Dry large Socks specifically for very low temperature with Boots, Good prece, Thank ypuI bought this pack of 2 pairs for a ski trip to Colorado. Not only are they cool looking but I was also able to wear just one pair in temperatures under 15 degrees. I wore them skiing and out and about under my boots. Great buy! These socks are thick and well made. They cover my calves completely and stop before the knees. I wore them at work, I'm on my feet for eight hours, and they didn't budge once. They wash nicely and still fit my feet perfectly. It hasn't gotten cold enough yet to test how warm they'll keep me but, judging from the thickness and quality stitching, I think I'll be fine for when the snow finally starts here. These socks were a big disappointment. They look good, fit well and have a slim profile, but thermal socks they are not. Was skiing in -10 C and my toes were freezing in less than an hour. Not Impressed!Muy cómodos y protegen bien contra el frio.
